Getting started

What is Runked?

Runked is an iPhone running app built around a real skill rank. Connect Garmin or Apple Health, or track runs with the built-in GPS tracker, and every run moves your rank from Bronze toward Olympian. Around the rank: weekly leagues scored on effort, running streaks with reward chests, personalized 5K to marathon training plans, race time predictions, and fitness and fatigue analytics.

How do I get my running rank?

Download Runked and connect Garmin Connect or Apple Health during onboarding. Runked analyzes your running history and calculates your rank instantly. If you have no history, track 3 runs with the built-in GPS tracker and your rank is ready.

Learn more

Do I need a running watch to use Runked?

No. Runked has a built-in GPS run tracker with live time, pace and distance. A Garmin watch or Apple Watch makes syncing automatic, but a phone is enough.

Ranks

What are the Runked rank tiers?

Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, each with sub-tiers III, II and I, then Elite, Champion and Olympian. Champion is roughly the top 0.23% of runners and Olympian the top 0.01%.

Learn more

Can my rank go down?

Yes. The rank tracks your recent training, so consistent running moves it up and long breaks let it slide. That is what makes it a rank worth earning.

Learn more

Does my old running history count?

Yes. When you first connect Garmin or Apple Health, Runked imports your running history so your starting rank reflects the running you have already done.

Weekly leagues & competition

How does the weekly league work?

Every run earns trophies based on effort, which is your training load adjusted for your fitness, not pace. The league leaderboard resets every Monday at midnight UTC, and every 50 trophies unlocks a reward chest, from the Blue chest at 50 up to the Fire chest at 500.

Learn more

Can beginners win the weekly league?

Yes. Because trophies measure effort relative to your own fitness, a beginner putting in an honest week can outscore a seasoned marathoner cruising through an easy one.

Learn more

What happens if I miss claiming my league chests?

Last week's chests stay claimable for a 24-hour grace window after the league resets on Monday, so you never lose rewards you earned overnight.

Streaks & XP

How do running streaks work in Runked?

Any tracked or synced run keeps your daily streak alive. Milestone chests unlock at 7, 30, 60, 100 and 365 days, and a calendar shows every run day. Garmin and Apple Health runs count automatically.

Learn more

What earns XP?

Every reviewed run earns XP from distance, duration, elevation and effort. XP levels you up, and level-ups award chests and gems, which buy avatar frames in the store.

Training & analytics

Which races can Runked build a training plan for?

5K, 10K, half marathon (21.1K) and marathon (42.2K), plus first-5K, new-distance and general fitness goals. Plans are personalized from your ability, available days, long run preference and weekly mileage, and progress through Foundation, Early Quality, Transition, Race Prep, Taper and Recovery phases, with Milestone in place of Race Prep for non-race goals.

Learn more

What happens to my plan if I get sick or injured?

Set your status to Rest, Sick or Injured and the plan pauses with you. You can also edit any plan setting in Manage Plan or generate a new plan at any time.

Learn more

How accurate are the race time predictions?

Predictions are based on your actual training load rather than a single race extrapolation, and they update after every run. They are most accurate when your training is consistent; the marathon is always the hardest distance to predict for any model.

Learn more

What is Runner DNA?

Runner DNA is a living snapshot of your running across six systems: Endurance, Threshold, Pacing, Speed, Climbing and Consistency. It grows as you train, shows how you compare with other runners, and can be shared as an image.

Learn more

What do Fitness, Fatigue, Training Balance and Load Ratio mean?

Fitness is your long-term training load, Fatigue is your recent load, Training Balance is the difference between them showing freshness versus productive strain, and Load Ratio compares recent to long-term load to flag injury risk before it happens.
