Your watch runs, synced automatically
Runked connects to Garmin Connect and Apple Health. Watch runs sync automatically and count toward your rank, league, streak and training plan. On first connect, your history imports too, so your rank reflects everything you have already run, not just today onward. No files, no manual logging.
The best fitness tool is the one you never have to think about. If logging a run takes effort, you will skip it, and a gappy log makes for a dishonest picture. Runked's answer is simple: connect once, then just run.
Why sync beats manual logging
- Nothing gets missed. Every run flows in on its own, so your rank, streak and metrics stay complete and accurate.
- No double entry. You already recorded the run on your watch; typing it again is wasted effort and a chance to fudge the numbers.
- Real data. Distance, duration and elevation come straight from your device, which keeps the whole system, from rank to leagues, fair.
What happens on first connect
The moment you link a source, Runked imports your existing running history. That one-time backfill means your rank is calculated from the runner you already are, not from a blank slate. Instead of grinding for weeks to earn a rank that reflects your fitness, you get an honest starting Runk right away.
Connecting Garmin
Runked is a Garmin compatible running app with a direct Garmin Connect integration:
- Link your Garmin account during onboarding, or later in Settings → Connected Apps.
- Authorize once through Garmin Connect. Runked reads your running activities.
- Run as normal. Save a run on your Garmin watch and it appears in Runked moments later, no phone tapping required.
Because it reads from Garmin Connect, any Garmin watch that syncs to Garmin Connect works.
Connecting Apple Health
Apple Health is the second source, and the widest net:
- Grant read access when Runked asks, or in Settings → Connected Apps.
- Apple Watch runs flow in automatically, along with runs from any other app that writes workouts to Apple Health.
This is what lets non-Garmin watches participate: if your device's app writes runs to Apple Health, Runked picks them up.
No watch? Use the built-in tracker
Phone-only runners are covered. Runked has a built-in GPS run tracker on the Run tab, so you can record a run with just your iPhone and it counts exactly like a synced one. You can also add manual entries when you need to.
Every run goes through XP review
However a run arrives, synced or tracked, it passes through Runked's quick review flow, where it earns XP from its distance, duration, elevation and effort. Confirm the run, collect the XP, and it feeds your rank, your streak and your weekly league standing. The review step keeps your data clean and your rewards honest.
An honest note on sources
Runked does not currently connect to Strava. The two supported sources are Garmin Connect and Apple Health, which between them cover most watches on the market. COROS, Suunto and Polar users can still bring their runs in, but only via the Apple Health bridge, and only if their app is configured to write workouts to Apple Health. If it does, those runs appear in Runked automatically. If it does not, use the built-in GPS tracker instead.

Does Runked work with Garmin?
Yes. Link Garmin Connect in onboarding or Settings, and runs you save on your Garmin watch appear automatically moments later, counting toward your rank, league, streak and plan. No exports or file uploads.
Does Runked work with Apple Watch?
Yes, through Apple Health. Grant read access and Apple Watch runs, plus runs from any app that writes to Apple Health, flow in automatically. Phone-only? Use the built-in GPS tracker.
Does my old running history count?
Yes. On first connect, Runked imports your existing history so your rank reflects everything you have already run, not just runs from today forward.
Does Runked support Strava?
No. Garmin Connect and Apple Health are the supported sources, and they cover most watches. COROS, Suunto and Polar users can bridge via Apple Health if their app writes runs to it; otherwise use the built-in GPS tracker.
