What Runked does that adidas Running doesn't
Runked gives you one number to move. Every run earns trophies, and your trophy total is your rank, on a ladder of 20 leagues from Bronze I to Olympian. Trophies score effort (how long the run was and how hard it was for you), so a beginner's hard week earns more than a faster runner's easy one. Each league above Bronze has a weekly trophy goal that comes off your total every Monday, which means the rank has to be held by running and can fall if you stop. adidas Running's listing describes challenges and rewards for activity, with no rank of this kind.
Runked also builds a first-5K plan for someone who cannot run yet: ten stages of run/walk intervals, laid out on the days you can train. Race-time predictions for 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon, Runner DNA and fitness and fatigue charts are in the same Runked PRO subscription, at $59.99 a year.
What adidas Running does that Runked doesn't
adidas Running runs on Android as well as iPhone, has an Apple Watch app, and logs walking, cycling and 90+ other sports next to running. It is free to download, and its App Store listing shows no in-app purchases. It has global challenges, virtual races and rewards. Runked has none of those: it is a subscription app for running, on iPhone.
